Bobbie

As you  walk down the hall at Battell towards Bobbie’s apartment, you’re more than likely to hear your stomach start to grumble and ask “what’s cooking?”

“Bobbie could cook the phone book and it would taste good,” said one community member referring to Bobbie’s creativeness in the kitchen and hospitality in her home.

Bobbie has lived at Battell for 5 years now and lived in Barbee Creek before that. Bobbie has made herself at home at the Battell Community and continues to live an active and creative lifestyle out of her apartment at Battell.

Battell is connected to to the community center where Bobbie worksout at the gym, play bingo with her friends, and  takes classes like painting and wellness. “I want to take a dancing class,” Bobbie said, “But I’m not sure if my knees are up to it anymore.”

While there is lots for Bobbie to do right next store, she visits her son often to tend his garden with him and visit other family.

“I like the staff here and I love my independence and privacy,” Bobbie said, “Everyone here is just wonderful!”
